WHO IS KAT HESS ?

The California native brings a lot of experience to the table, having represented the US National Team from the U14 - U20 level, held TopDrawerSoccer’s No. 1 Ranking goalkeeper for 3 consecutive years, and achieved Regional honors and received Cal South Federation’s Player of the Year.

Kat attended Harvard University, where she competed in 38 matches across her collegiate career. In her senior season, Kat held a 398-minute shutout streak from Sept. 15—Oct. 19th, posting a 0.82 goals-against average with an 8-2-1 record, and finishing on a career-high of 11 saves in a game, which she achieved in her final collegiate match.

In 2023, she competed with Athlone Town AFC in the League of Ireland (LOI), helping her team win the FAI Cup Championship for the first time in over a hundred years in the club’s history.

This past June, Kat had the unique opportunity to represent Angel City in the TST 7v7 Tournament, totaling 27 saves across 3 matches.

In July, she accepted a National Training Replacement Player (NTRP) contract in the NWSL representing Gotham FC for the duration of the Summer Olympics.

Now, Kat is headed abroad and competing with Swedish club Örebro SK for the remainder of their season!
